Holy Guacamole! The Axelrods are in the Holy Land

After a flight that was enhanced by Claire being served curdled milk which she promptly regurgitated on the plane, we arived in the land of Milk & Honey (When I told Claire that was another name for Israel she became very excited because she loves milk so much). Sadly the first milk we bought at the market here was curdled as well.

We arrived late in the afternoon so we went and got some shawarma and falafel on Ben Yehuda St. and came back to the apartment and went to bed.

This morning was a difficult start for the kids since nobody took my advice on the flight and took the Ambien that I tried to force feed them. Our guide Yakov picked us up for a delayed start at 10. We toured the old city today and walked the wall. Everyone shook out the cobwebs and got cooking by about lunch time. We had our second round of falafel & shawarma for lunch today. I'm pretty confident that Andrew will start looking and smelling like shawarma by the end of the trip.

Here are some pictures from last night on Ben Yehuda St.

Hang on, that might be from the night before on Joel Drive.
